Who is Julien FAVRY?

Julien Favry is a Lille-based mascot creator and motion designer, and founder of the Fresh Organic Motion studio. Born in 1993 in the Loire-Atlantique region of France, he cultivated a passion for illustration and animation from an early age. His career path has led him to specialize in the creation of emblematic characters that represent the identity of brands.
Career paths and training
Julien began his artistic training with a CAP Dessinateur d'exécution en communication graphique at La Joliverie, followed by a Bac Pro Communication Graphique at the same school. He then continued with a BTS in Graphic Design, multimedia option, at the Lycée Sainte Marguerite in Tours. These courses enabled him to develop solid skills in typography, illustration, 2D animation, 3D modeling and web design.
Professional experience
In 2014, Julien began his career as a UI graphic designer in a startup, at Plan B mobile. That's how he came to create interfaces for mobile applications.
In 2015, he began freelancing as a motion design director. During this period, he worked with a number of companies, including Censier Publicinex, for which he created motion sequences for theatrical release. These projects, in short formats of 12, 16 or 24 seconds, cover a wide range of business sectors.
In 2020, Julien co-created the Fresh Organic Motion brand, a studio dedicated to motion design.
This studio stands out for the production of bespoke animated content, combining storytelling and graphic design. Notable projects include ;
- GRDF: development of a recycling campaign at festivals, to raise public awareness of eco-responsible behavior.
- EDF R&D: design of an explanatory video illustrating the technological innovations developed by the R&D department.
In 2024, he acquired his partner's shares and reoriented the studio towards mascot design.
Fresh Organic Motion and the creation of mascots
Fresh Organic Motion helps companies and institutions create personalized mascots. These are designed to reflect their world and optimize their communication. Recent projects include the creation of "DAMA" for Baudelet Environnement (a mascot used internally to raise safety awareness).
The studio designed several poses for the Abilous mascot, respecting a precise design consistent with the startup's universe. It also worked on the creation of a progression board to accompany the user experience as he learns to play. The studio continues to enrich its portfolio, with several projects in progress, and invites you to follow its news.

Julien FAVRY's inspirations and vision

Julien draws his inspiration from Japanese culture, incorporating iconic characters such as Doraemon, Pokémon, Mario and Hello Kitty, as well as from Korean culture with Line Friends.
He is also influenced by Pixar creations, in particular "Soul", "Toy Story", "Là-haut" and "Vice-Versa". These characters combine emotional storytelling and character design.
His vision focuses on creating mascots that encourage friendship and strengthen the bond between the brand and its audience. He sees the mascot as a means of emotion and identity, capable of uniting a community around shared values.
Mimi, Julien FAVRY's mascot

Among his unique works, Julien Favry has designed and trademarked mascot Mimi Koloa. Intended to be at once charming, touching and subtly humorous, Mimi represents an authentic character, diligent but sometimes a little clumsy. Her world is shaped by a quest for meaning: Mimi works one job after another in the hope of discovering her true calling. This leads to funny moments and unexpected circumstances.

Although he's shy, he's genuine and likes to relax after long days. He enjoys watching the sunset while savoring strawberry treats, his guilty pleasure. Although Mimi can sometimes be overwhelmed by events and let his emotions run wild, he always manages to regain his composure as he drifts off to sleep, ready to embark on new adventures.
Moving forward
Over the years, Julien Favry has also spent a long time seeking his own path, even in his preferred field of graphic design and communications. In the end, designing mascots turned out to be an obvious choice, bringing together everything he's passionate about. So, without being exhaustive, it includes storytelling, illustration, video, variety of themes, research, long-term customer support, and a creative vision to share. Through each character and each project, he continues to explore new horizons and weave stories that unite.
